THE 2020 VISION
&
CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT CAMPAIGN
Statement of Purpose

The International Brotherhood of Yahshua’s Disciples, Inc. (hereafter referred to as “IBOYD”) and its members have been called upon to serve the “whole person” during our tour here on Earth. In that regard, the IBOYD Board of Trustees has commissioned the Capital Development Committee (hereafter referred to as the “IBOYD CDC”) and authorized it to act on behalf of the Board of Trustees and the IBOYD membership to develop and maintain facilities and capital improvement projects that enable the IBOYD ministry through outreach programs and other services focused on the youth and the senior populations in the IBOYD geographic areas.
The initial focus of such capital development projects will be in the Delaware and Virginia areas where IBOYD facilities and activities are located. However, the IBOYD Board of Trustees has expressed the goal to expand these capital development activities into other geographies as feasible and when appropriate.
IBOYD CDC Goals
The IBOYD CDC will oversee projects to maintain and upgrade existing IBOYD facilities and develop new facilities, including a Multi-Use Facility, to focus on youth and senior citizens in recognition of the fact that our past is the key determinant of our future and that by protecting the legacy of our past and by providing foundation for the growth and development of our youth, we then facilitate and nurture a heritage and legacy of service that is enduring. The IBOYD CDC’s five-year 2020 Vision Capital Campaign project will be the vehicle to fund these endeavors.
2020 Vision Capital Campaign – Give Something Back
The first phase of the 2020 Vision Campaign will raise funds in order to construct a Cultural Center on the property of International Brotherhood of Yahshua’s Disciples (IBOYD), located in Felton, Delaware. The Cultural Center will be a multi-purpose building which will be expanded to include a library/museum, daycare center with an after school program, a food bank/soup kitchen, a sports and entertainment center (to include instruction in the arts), a media room and a music/video studio. This facility will service the community and will be available for use by the Body of Yahshua.
In phase one we are also looking to break ground on the Cultural Center and to place a marker on the IBOYD property in Virginia which was formerly known as the Schoolhouse property. This property has been designated as a historical landmark by the State of Virginia as it is a Rosenwald School which was constructed to instruct the children of the freedman (a term which referred to former slaves, who would be known today as the African American children of Parksley, Virginia) until the school system was desegregated. We will also construct a gazebo with a memorial plaque on the IBOYD property in Virginia where our Matriarch, Mother Sarah, resided for many years. The purpose of the gazebo is to mark the property and remind the generations to come of where we come from and to show them where we are going.
We are reaching out to our natural and spiritual family, friends and community members to request that you support the finishing work which aspires to instruct our children to ensure our future, to support our elders to preserve our past and to encourage those in between to work to this end.
